High Throughput Screening: An Overview

High throughput screening (HTS) is a highly valuable experimental process to assaying a large number of parameters against specific criteria.  For drug discovery and development, it provides a systematic and efficient method of identifying potential targets, drugs and/or molecular information that can be beneficial to fighting disesase.  Successful screening is dependent on the type of experimental set-up and the careful implementation of that set-up in a high-throughput platform.
